Debby Hampton

Debby Hampton served as the president and CEO of United Way of Central Oklahoma from 2010 through 2023. During Debby’s tenure at United Way, over $278 million was raised to support disaster relief and programs of nonprofit partner agencies providing health and human services in Central Oklahoma. Prior to that, she was president and CEO of the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits for four years. Debby spent 16 years with the American Red Cross of Central Oklahoma, including the last four years as CEO.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Debby serves on the boards of Leadership Oklahoma City, The Alliance of Economic Development of Oklahoma City, OKC-County Health Department, the Oklahoma Nonprofit Council, and the Oklahoma City University Advisory Committee for the Nonprofit Leadership Program. Debby is a proud alum of Leadership Oklahoma, Leadership Oklahoma City and Leadership Tulsa’s Executive Series. She served on the United Way Worldwide United States Membership Accountability Committee and the United Way Worldwide National Presidents’ Roundtable.

Debby is an active member and president of Committee of One Hundred. She has been recognized as a Byliner Honoree by the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Association of Women in Communications, and she received the 2013 Community Services Award from the Conference of Churches. The Oklahoma Hall of Fame honored Debby as the 2015 recipient of the Lee Allan Smith Oklahoma Legacy Award. She received the 2016 Distinguished Leadership Award from Leadership Oklahoma City and the 2016 Compassionate Citizen of the Year Award from Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled, Inc. In December of 2019, Debby was named Oklahoma Cityan of the Year by OKC Friday Newspaper.

In June of 2021, Debby received the Neighborhood Services Organization Good Samaritan Award. She was inducted into the Oklahoma Commerce & Industry Hall of Honor by the Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University in October of 2021. In April 2022, Debby received the inaugural Rainbolt Leadership Award from Pivot - A Turning Point for Youth, in celebration of their 50th anniversary. That same month, she became the first to receive the Trailblazer Award from A Chance to Change. In 2024, she received the Inspiring Hope award from Upward Transitions as well as the Catholic Charities Green Tie Ambassador award. She was also honored in 2018 at Heartline 211 Festival of Hope event. Debby Hampton loves the nonprofit sector and has been honored to have made it a lifelong career.
